Paul Gildea

Paul is a photographer, trail runner, and outdoor enthusiast by passion. He's a transplant from the east coast and has been exploring and shooting the Pacific Northwest since 2008.

As a software engineer by trade, Paul has a drive for deep technical understanding of any subject he encounters. When applied to field of photography, it has allowed him to acquire the skills to express his creativity through modern digital and traditional film/print mediums.

His style is authentic, candid, and laid-back. In his own words, "I try to capture the relationships and emotional connections between people and their natural environments. Just like life, sometimes they're blurry, messy, and not always perfect. But if you can capture it when everything falls right into place and you feel it... it's magic."

As a new father and trail runner, Paul is focused on capturing the progression of family life and the on going relationship of people in the vast outdoors.
