Winning the Lottery

Every year the National Parks Service holds a four day event in September called the "Road Lottery." During these days winners are given the chance to purchase a day long permit that allows them to drive as far as they can along Denali Park Road. Only four hundred lucky visitors get to claim this breathtaking prize. I was given the opportunity to document our family and friends experiencing the awe and wonder of Denali National Park. The mountainous landscape and local inhabitants give you the true scale of man in his natural environment. We are nothing more than just a pin-prick in time and space. Enjoy it and protect it while it lasts.
