We spent a wonderful morning with the Hoerschelmann's among the sea creatures at the Seattle Aquarium. It was a little rainy, but that's part for the course here. The kiddos were on the loose covering every inch of the exhibits. Man, do these kiddos know how to run and zig-zag around every corner. Just like a fish, these kiddos are in perpetual motion. And we're right behind them to make sure they stop tapping on the glass.

As our little ones get older we find ourselves making our way to our Seattle neighborhood Woodland Park Zoo. We've mostly visited during the winter time for their Zoo Lights events, but this year we've found it to be a stimulating place to learn about animals or at least just point at them and say their names.
I find it hilarious that at our kiddos age, they really don't yet understand the various animals and the regions that they naturally represent. And that they can find fun and joy in the simplest of things like stairs and rocks to climb on.
Once we made our way to see the otters, where the kiddos can smudge their noses on the glass and get right up close - they go crazy.
And the day wouldn't be complete without folks riding on the carousel. Because who doesn't like spinning round and round on a horse moving up and down. Classic.
Documenting Dogs: Mojo and Bubba
I had the pleasure of hanging out and capturing everyday life with Mojo and Bubba. Two older pups with plenty of spunk and personality to go around. They kept me busy running around the yard and would follow their mom where ever she went. I'll be honest, I don't normally focus on dogs as my main subjects, but I would happily consider them as part of the family. So why not experiment a little bit and capture some canine candids? Well I had a great time with these two and hey, if you know anyone looking to document their lives with their furry family - send them my way.
Forth of July Festivities
We had a great time spending the Forth of July with friends in Spee-Bi-Dah, Washington. We were lucky to be able to take in the view of the water and fireworks. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest and Happy Forth of July!
Summer BBQ Fun!
It's that time of year... summer time! The sun is out and the grills are cooking up a storm. We were lucky enough to catch up with some friends to enjoy the weekend. The kids especially loved the water table as it provides endless entertainment. Here's to enjoying the summer fun!
Passing Through
We had the pleasure of hosting the Nelson family this past weekend. The house was as active as ever with these two little dudes running the show. Although their stop was brief we had a good time catching up and putting together some Ikea outdoor furniture to officially mark the start of summer time!
Mini Session in Maple Leaf Park
It's nice to get back into the swing of things with some quick mini sessions! Especially now that the sunny weather is back in Seattle. We were lucky to get some great captures of Fritz Maple Leaf Park before the sun went down this past weekend.
Bruce Turns Four!
I've had the joy of watching this little dude grow up and now he's four! Man how time does fly. And this year's cake did not disappoint with an epic Lego Star Wars theme! Happy Birthday little dude!
Quick trip to Winthrop
We had the pleasure of heading over to Winthrop to see a new member of the Nelson family - Lumi! She was ever so sweet and adorable and we happy to get to finally meet her. It was great to see Gin, Ben, and the new big brother Oliver on our trip. It's always fun in Winthrop!
Seattle Snow Day!
When it snows in Seattle, everyone gets a snow day! We got outside to join the neighborhood in some sledding and snowball fights in Maple Leaf Park.
Rattlesnake Ledge with the Family
We had a great weekend in North Bend hiking to Rattlesnake Ledge. It's about a 4 mile round trip and the kiddo had a great time. It was fairly crowed on the trail, but what do you expect when it's a nice day in the Pacific Northwest? If you're in the area make sure you add this hike to your list!
Mini Session with Gin
I had the pleasure of doing a quick spur of the moment maternity shoot with Gin while we were spending a long weekend in the Methow Valley. We spent about a half hour finding a fun backdrop to capture some classic and not so classic maternity images. Great talent and a great time!
